Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a service provider to document the progress and impact of implementation activities at three companies, and to develop comprehensive case studies for the CSIR. This includes conducting site visits, collecting data, measuring impact, and producing detailed reports and reflections to showcase the outcomes of funded projects.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Conducting site visits and interviews at three implementation sites (two in Western Cape, one in Eastern Cape).
• Data collection, measurement, and verification of project impacts such as cost savings, resource savings, jobs created or maintained, revenue generation, and operational improvements.
• Recording additional company performance impacts attributable to the projects.
• Developing case study documents reflecting implementation processes, impacts, and lessons learned.
• Providing supporting documentation such as purchase orders, invoices, and proof of equipment acquisition.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Site visits and interviews with personnel at specified companies.
• Data collection and verification onsite, including metering and measurement of savings.
• Step-by-step documentation of the implementation process.
• Measurement and verification of project savings and impacts.
• Development of detailed case study reports with reflections on project outcomes.
• Provision of supporting evidence such as invoices, proof of equipment, and other relevant documents.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Qualified personnel with CMVP (Certified Measurement and Verification Professional) certification.
• Qualified personnel with EnMS (Energy Management System) certification.
• Experience in impact assessment, data collection, and impact measurement.
• Ability to conduct site visits, interviews, and gather qualitative and quantitative data.
• Proficiency in developing case studies and impact reports.
• Capacity to manage project documentation and provide supporting evidence.
