Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a reputable service provider to deliver structural engineering services at NHLS Old City Hospital Complex, Green Point, Cape Town. The selected bidder will be responsible for providing expert structural engineering support to ensure the integrity, safety, and compliance of relevant infrastructure projects within the NHLS Green Point Complex.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of structural engineering consultancy services for projects at NHLS Green Point Complex.
• Preparation of technical assessments, designs, and reports related to structural integrity.
• Site inspections and supervision as required.
• Adherence to project timelines and specifications.
• Collaboration with NHLS project teams and other stakeholders.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for bidders include:

• Demonstrated experience in structural engineering, particularly with public health or similar infrastructure projects.
• Provision of CVs of qualified structural engineers with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Evidence of previous similar contracts, including project scope, value, and client references.
• Ability to develop comprehensive project plans, methodologies, and technical approaches aligned with project scope and timelines.
• Compliance with all applicable standards, codes, and regulations.
• Provision of a detailed approach to executing the scope of work, including resource allocation and project management strategies.
