Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a qualified service provider to perform onsite servicing and calibration of various Biosafety Cabinets across multiple NHLS WC Labs, including locations in Mossel Bay, George, Knysna, Beaufort West, and Oudtshoorn. The aim is to ensure that the Biosafety Cabinets operate within specified standards, maintaining safety and compliance for diagnostic laboratory services.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Onsite servicing and calibration of Biosafety Cabinets at designated NHLS laboratories.
• Provision of all labor, materials, accessories, software, supervision, and related costs necessary for the completion of the work.
• Adherence to the specifications and requirements detailed in the scope of work section of the tender documentation.
• Completion of work within the stipulated timeframe, ensuring minimal disruption to laboratory operations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Performing calibration and servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications and relevant standards.
• Providing detailed reports and certification confirming calibration accuracy and compliance.
• Using approved and calibrated equipment for servicing.
• Adhering to safety protocols and quality assurance procedures during servicing.
• Ensuring timely completion as per the schedule specified in the contract.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Qualified technical personnel with expertise in biosafety cabinet servicing and calibration.
• Relevant experience in servicing laboratory equipment, specifically Biosafety Cabinets.
• Knowledge of applicable standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
