Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure road marking services along Church Street, Prince Albert, including marking stop signs, parking bays, pedestrian crossings, and no-parking zones on designated sections of the proclaimed road.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of road marking services on Church Street, covering the installation and maintenance of various road markings as specified in the tender. The contractor will be responsible for executing the marking works in accordance with the specifications, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and attending a compulsory clarification meeting.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of road marking services including stop signs, parking bays, pedestrian crossings, and no-parking zones.
• Registration with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) at a contractor grading designation of 1 SK or higher, or from potentially emerging enterprises as per regulations.
• Attendance at a compulsory clarification meeting scheduled for 29 September 2025 at the Municipal Council Chambers.
• Adherence to the specified minimum functionality score of 35 out of 50 points to be considered responsive.
• Compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards as per the tender specifications.

Skills and Skills Requirements

• Experience in the provision of road marking and signage services, supported by a company profile.
• Availability of qualified personnel, including CVs of skilled staff, with relevant certifications.
• Provision of adequate tools, equipment, and plant for road marking activities.
• Demonstrated methodology for executing the work, including traffic control measures and work program.
• Ability to meet the minimum financial cover of R 5 million and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Registration with the CIDB and inclusion in the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
