Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the provision of ablution and plumbing repairs at Fleet Services for the City of uMhlathuze, with a completion deadline of 20 August 2026. The aim is to ensure timely and quality maintenance services to support the city's facilities management needs.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Performing ablution and plumbing repairs at Fleet Services.
• Carrying out tasks such as fixing leaks (pipes, geysers, taps), replacing shower roses and taps, glazing, and deep cleaning of ablutions including showers.
• All alterations must be signed off by the bidder confirming approval of changes.
• Work must be completed within the specified contract period of 2 weeks.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Compliance with the latest relevant SANS codes and specifications.
• Verification of all levels and dimensions on-site before commencing work, with discrepancies discussed with the Project Leader.
• Work must adhere to occupational health and safety regulations, including compliance with the Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Site clearance upon completion, ensuring all excess materials are removed and the site is left in a clean state.
• Submission of plumbing and electrical Certificate of Compliance (COC) upon completion.
• Method and programme of work to be approved by the Project Leader.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD), with a valid CSD number.
• Provision of certified trade certificates for plumbers, indicating qualified personnel.
• Possession of relevant experience in plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to carry out work within the specified timeframe and adhere to the technical specifications.
