Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable service provider responsible for the supply, delivery, and off-loading of standard motors and submersible pumps (wet-end) to support the Lephalale Municipality's supply chain management needs. The service aims to ensure timely procurement and proper handling of specified electrical equipment to meet operational requirements.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply of 7.5 KW standard motors suitable for commercial applications, including energy-efficient IEC standards (IE2 or IE3 rated).
• Supply of 7.5 KW submersible pumps (wet-end).
• Supply of 4 KW three-phase standard motors and submersible pumps (wet-end).
• Supply of 2.2 KW standard motors and submersible pumps (wet-end), both three-phase and single-phase variants.
• Delivery and off-loading of these items to the designated municipal warehouse at Lephalale.
• Provision of related technical and logistical support as per specifications.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the supplied equipment are as follows:

• Motors must conform to IEC standards, with modern motors being IE2 or IE3 rated for energy efficiency.
• Motors should be flange-mounted (B5/B14) or foot-mounted, suitable for direct coupling to machinery such as pumps or gearboxes.
• Motors should be protected against dust and water jets.
• Power ratings include 7.5 KW, 4 KW, and 2.2 KW, with appropriate voltage and phase configurations.
• Submersible pumps should be suitable for wet-end applications, with specified dimensions and weight as per product labels.
• All items must meet the relevant safety and performance standards.

Skills and Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Technical capability to supply and handle electrical motors and pumps according to specified standards.
• Experience in supplying similar equipment, supported by a schedule of past relevant projects.
• Availability of plant and equipment necessary for the execution of the contract, with details provided.
• Compliance with legal and tax obligations, including valid tax compliance status and registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Understanding of municipal procurement policies and adherence to preferential procurement regulations (80/20 preference points system).
• Capacity to deliver within the stipulated timeframe and to the specified destination.
• Ability to provide firm pricing, inclusive of all delivery costs, valid for the bid validity period.
