Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the supply of sterile syringe filters that meet specified technical and quality standards, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and preference policies. The aim is to select a qualified supplier capable of providing high-quality, sterile syringe filters suitable for biomedical applications.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the provision of:

• Three packs of sterile syringe filters with specific material and technical specifications.
• Filters with Durapore hydrophilic PVDF membrane, Durapel hydrophobic PVDF vent filter, and copolyester housing and filling bell.
• Filters designed to operate under specified pressure, flow rate, pore size, temperature, and sterility conditions.
• Connections, dimensions, and other physical requirements as detailed in the specifications.

The procurement process also encompasses compliance with government procurement policies, submission of necessary documentation, and adherence to evaluation criteria based on price and preference points.

• Sterility: Gamma irradiated (sterile)
• Connections: Female Luer-Lok inlet; male tubing adapter or male Luer-Lok outlet
• Dimensions: Diameter approximately 1.7 cm (without filling bell); length approximately 6.9 cm (without filling bell)

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate the following:

• Provision of a current CSD report (for South African companies) showing registration and tax compliance, not older than 2 months.
• Completion and submission of the SBD1 (for foreign/international companies) and SBD4 Bidder’s Disclosure forms.
• Evidence of BBBEE certification, indicating ownership goals (black ownership, women ownership, disability status) with respective points allocation.
• Ability to supply the specified sterile syringe filters meeting all technical specifications.
• Compliance with government procurement policies and submission of all required documentation within the bid application.
