Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to hire an ambulance service to provide emergency medical support during the Festive Season at Alkantstrand Beach. The service aims to ensure prompt medical response for emergencies at the beach and Bay Hall over a period of 9 days, from 08:00 to 18:00 each day, specifically from 26 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of one ambulance equipped for emergency response at Alkantstrand Beach.
• Deployment of 2 first aiders alongside the ambulance.
• The ambulance must operate at the beach and Bay Hall for all emergencies during the specified period.
• The service period spans 9 days, with specified dates from 26 December 2025 to 30 December 2025 and 01 January to 04 January 2026.
• The ambulance must be operational daily from 08:00 to 18:00.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the ambulance include:

• Ambulance must be suitable for work at the beach environment.
• Must be fully operational and equipped for emergency medical response.
• Work at designated locations including the beach and Bay Hall for all emergencies.
• Service must be available for the entire specified period with the specified working hours.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Suppliers must meet the following skills and qualification criteria:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD); CSD number must be provided.
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing from relevant authorities.
• Possession of qualified ambulance drivers and first aiders with appropriate certifications.
• Compliance with health and safety standards, including SHE risk management documentation.
• Ability to deliver and operate the ambulance as per technical specifications and during the specified dates and times.
