Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure maintenance services for the Ablutions at the Human Settlement Office, ensuring proper upkeep and functionality of the facilities by the deadline of 18 June 2026.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Maintenance and repairs of ablution facilities at the Human Settlement Office.
• Activities such as plumbing repairs, installation of flushing mechanisms, heavy-duty toilet seats, traps, and fixing doors as specified in the detailed project specifications.
• Site clearance and ensuring the site is left in a clean and acceptable condition upon completion.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Completion of repairs within a contract period of 1 week, including statutory and builder’s holidays.
• Adherence to working hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:30, with outside hours subject to approval.
• Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations.
• Provision of proof of competence, references of similar work previously performed, and proof of relevant registration (CSD registration, CIDB grading).
• Submission of a detailed method and programme of work for approval.
• Proper site management, including removal of excess materials and site clearance.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from bidders include:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).
• Registration with the Municipal Council Database.
• Proof of competence and experience in similar maintenance projects.
• Compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
• Ability to deliver quality workmanship within the specified timeframe.
• Provision of necessary documentation such as a Letter of Good Standing, tax compliance certificates, and signed alterations where applicable.
