GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The works, as described, is required on a farm in Lutzville, Matzikama Municipality. The quoted amount will be a lump sum bid and must include equipment, labor and tools to execute the work.  The successful bidder must have the capacity to start the works within 7 (seven) days of appointment.

Conditions that may pose a risk: (Summary of Risk analysis)

The risks normally associated with the design and installation of irrigation systems are applicable. Expect rocky geotechnical conditions. Security for materials and equipment must be supplied to ensure the safekeeping of the irrigation equipment on site. The Contractor must put all necessary precautions in place to work under these conditions.

The scope of works will include:

  1. Design, supply, delivery and installation of 6ha of irrigation (4×1.5ha).

 In accordance with Casidra’s Preferential Procurement Policy, this bid as further indicated in CBD 5.1 is subject to:

  • a functionality compliance test;
  • B-BBEE certified bids will receive preferential scores;

The successful bidder will be required to fill in and sign a written Contract Form (CBD 8). Included are a penalty clause of R 550.00/calendar day that apply for late completion of works and a 10% retention fee for 3 months not bearing interest.

BID DEADLINE:  The closing date for the bid is 24 May 2023 strictly at 12H00.

SUBMISSION OF BIDS

RFQ documents are to be uploaded on the website from which they were downloaded. No faxed, counter-to-counter or posted bids will be accepted.

The following documents (including fully completed and signed CBD forms numbered 1 to 5.1 as supplied) must be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after closure of the bid and submitted as a bid packet:
