Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure minor structural repair services at the Buchanana Office. The aim is to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the office premises through specified repair activities within the stipulated contract period.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Performing minor structural repairs at the Buchanana Office.
• Activities such as structural repairs and plumbing at the Buchanana Civic Centre, including the hall.
• Supply and installation of internal doors, ceiling panels, gutter cleaning, gate rails, and replacement of pedestrian and sliding doors, including lock changes.

The work is to be completed within the contract period of 1 week, including statutory and builder’s holidays.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to the scope of work as detailed in the tender documents.
• Submission of a work programme and method of work for approval prior to commencement.
• Compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993, and related regulations.
• Site clearance upon completion, ensuring all excess materials are removed and the site is left in a satisfactory condition.
• Provision of proof of competence and references for similar previous work.
• Completion of all work within the specified contract period with penalties for late completion.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required include:

• Registered contractors with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) with valid registration number.
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
• Demonstrated experience and competence in structural repairs and plumbing works.
• Ability to prepare and submit work programmes and safety compliance documentation.
• Signatory authority to confirm alterations and quotations.
