Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure repair and calibration services for a 16kV Cable Fault Locator / HVSG550-16 (front) and a 16kV Surge Generator. The aim is to ensure the equipment is maintained in optimal condition to facilitate accurate fault detection and testing in power cables.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Repair and calibration of the 16kV Cable Fault Locator / HVSG550-16 (front).
• Provision of a 16kV surge wave generator (HVSG550-16) with specific features such as adjustable output voltage (0-4kV, 0-8kV, 0-16kV), energy peak of 500J, and optional filters for ARC method.
• Ensuring the equipment is suitable for fault location in power cables, with automatic discharge features and accessible terminals for ease of operation.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the surge generator include:

• DC output power options: 0–4kV, 0–8kV, 0–16kV.
• Energy peak: 500J at each voltage range.
• Features such as earthing for safety, adjustable voltage output, and optional ARC filter integration.

Additional features include:

• Automatic discharge of internal capacitors upon disconnection.
• Accessible terminals for earthing, power, and high voltage connections.

Skills Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide the CSD number.
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
• Capability to perform repair and calibration services on high-voltage testing equipment.
• Compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT registration and relevant safety standards.
• Ability to complete the RFQ in black ink, sign alterations, and submit all compulsory documentation.
• Experience in handling similar technical equipment and adherence to safety and quality standards.
