Objectives

The primary objective is to procure a qualified specialist service provider to ensure the uninterrupted, safe, and compliant operation of designated municipal X-ray equipment. The contract focuses on minimizing diagnostic downtime, maintaining strict adherence to manufacturer safety and performance standards, and delivering both scheduled preventative care and rapid corrective interventions over an eleven-month period.

Scope of Work

• Equipment Coverage: One (1) HS7555si unit and one (1) CEIA HIPE unit.
• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execution of scheduled servicing at manufacturer-defined intervals, including full system calibration, functional testing, and submission of detailed maintenance reports following each visit.
• Corrective Maintenance (CM): On-demand emergency call-outs for equipment failures or component degradation, encompassing diagnostics, repairs, and replacement of faulty parts.
• Spare Parts Provision: Timely sourcing and delivery of all necessary replacement components to restore operational capacity without undue delay.
• Contract Duration: Eleven (11) months.
• Service Location: Richards Bay municipal facilities.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Recognized technical specialization in the servicing, calibration, and repair of medical X-ray imaging systems.
• Minimum of two (2) verifiable references or completion certificates proving successful maintenance engagements on comparable X-ray equipment.
• Relevant training accreditation from the State Information Technology Agency (SITA), where applicable to the scope of work.
• Competency in occupational health, safety, and environmental (SHE) management, including preparation of a contractor SHE file and compliance with municipal site induction protocols.
