Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for sewer reticulation maintenance at Esikhawini. The contractor is expected to provide labour, equipment, and materials necessary to carry out the maintenance work, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and operational standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Providing labour, equipment, and materials for sewer reticulation maintenance at Esikhawini.
• Removing old materials and transporting them to Esikhawini water depot upon completion.
• Ensuring all work complies with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.
• Fulfilling CIDB grade rating requirements of 1SO, 1CE, or higher.
• Completing the construction within approximately 2 weeks during normal working days.
• Adhering to site conditions and leaving the site in good condition.
• Implementing a safety plan and undergoing site induction prior to work commencement.
• Participating in site audits and complying with safety regulations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of labour, equipment, and materials as specified.

• Use of specified materials such as PVC pipes, fittings, and other related components.

Skills Requirements

The contractor must possess:

• A CIDB grade rating of 1SO, 1CE, or higher.
• Qualified personnel including artisans (plumbers), surveyors, and general workers.
• Experience in sewer reticulation maintenance and related civil works.
• Capacity to prepare and implement health and safety plans.
• Ability to manage site safety and compliance with OHS regulations.
• Availability of necessary equipment such as TLBs, bakkies, and other plant.
