Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver bricks to the City of uMhlathuze by the deadline of 6 March 2026. The purpose is to procure quality bricks efficiently to meet the city's infrastructural needs.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of bricks required at the Alton Urban Roads Depot, with all items to be delivered within the specified delivery period. The procurement involves submitting quotations, adhering to technical and administrative requirements, and ensuring compliance with municipal and national regulations.

Technical Requirements

• Supply and deliver bricks as specified in the RFQ.
• All deliveries must be made to the Supply Chain Management Unit at the end of Betastraal, Alton, Richards Bay.
• All alterations to quotations must be signed by the bidder.
• Price changes after submission will not be approved unless signed for by the bidder.
• Suppliers must be registered with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide their CSD number.
• Provide a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
• Complete the RFQ in black ink; pencil submissions are not accepted.
• Attach all compulsory documents, including tax compliance certificates, SHE risk management files, and proof of registration.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Registered suppliers with valid CSD registration and municipal database registration.
• Ability to supply and deliver bricks within the specified lead time.
• Compliance with statutory requirements, including tax and SHE standards.
• Capability to provide all necessary documentation, such as good standing certificates and signed alterations.
• Understanding of municipal procurement policies and preferential procurement points system.
• Experience in handling large-scale deliveries and adherence to safety and quality standards.
