Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply electrical materials, specifically Bussmann Kebox or equivalent products, to the City of uMhlathuze. The aim is to ensure timely delivery of quality electrical supplies to support the municipality's operational needs.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of electrical materials as specified in the RFQ, with a focus on Bussmann Kebox or equivalent items. The delivery address is the Supply Chain Management Unit at the end of Betastraal, Alton, Richards. The procurement involves a single delivery period, with the requirement that all items meet the specifications and conditions outlined in the RFQ.

Technical Requirements

• Supply and delivery of Bussmann Kebox or equivalent electrical materials.
• Items must conform to the specifications provided in the RFQ.
• All alterations to the quotation must be signed by the bidder.
• Price changes after submission will not be approved unless signed for by the bidder.
• Suppliers must be registered with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide the CSD number.
• Provide a Letter of Good Standing and other compulsory documentation as specified.
• Complete the RFQ in black ink; quotations in lead pencil will not be accepted.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Registered and compliant with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).
• Registered with the Municipal Council Database.
• Possession of relevant certifications such as Tax Compliance Certificate and Letter of Good Standing.
• Ability to complete the RFQ accurately and sign all alterations and documentation.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Understanding of preferential procurement points claim process, including proof of ownership and empowerment status.
• Capacity to provide the specified electrical materials within the stipulated delivery period.
