Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure supply and delivery of Bitumen Stable 60 to the City of uMhlathuze, ensuring timely and quality delivery as specified in the RFQ. The goal is to meet the city's infrastructure needs by sourcing reliable suppliers who can provide the specified bitumen within the stipulated timeframe and at competitive prices.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply and delivery of Bitumen Stable 60 in 200L drums.
• Delivery to the Supply Chain Management Unit at the specified address: End of Betastraal, Alton, Richards Bay.
• Collection of drums by the respective depots (Empangeni and Esikhaleni).
• Adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements related to the supply and delivery process.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Supply of Bitumen Stable 60 in drums, with delivery as one load to designated depots.
• Delivery to be completed within the specified lead time, with no price increases after submission.
• All alterations to quotations must be signed by the bidder.
• Suppliers must be registered with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide their CSD number.
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing and compliance with SHE Risk Management standards.
• Completion of RFQ forms in black ink, with all compulsory documents attached.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from bidders include:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).
• Provision of relevant compliance certificates such as Tax Compliance Certificate and Letter of Good Standing.
• Ability to deliver the specified quantity within the stipulated lead time.
• Capacity to complete and sign all documentation accurately, including alterations and declarations.
• Understanding of statutory requirements related to supply chain management, health and safety, and environmental standards.
• Experience in handling similar supply and delivery contracts for bitumen or related materials is advantageous.
