Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure supply and delivery of gas bottles to the City of uMhlathuze, ensuring timely and efficient provision of these goods in accordance with the specified requirements and deadlines.

Scope

The scope of work includes the supply and delivery of empty gas bottles to the designated delivery address at the Supply Chain Management Unit, End of Betastraal, Alton, Richards. The gas bottles will be collected from the workshop after delivery. The scope also encompasses compliance with all relevant statutory and municipal requirements, and adherence to the conditions outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Supply and delivery of empty gas bottles as specified in the item description.
• Delivery must be completed by 08 May 2026 at 12:00.
• All alterations to the quotation must be signed by the bidder.
• Suppliers must be registered with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide the CSD number.
• Provide a Letter of Good Standing and other compulsory documents such as tax compliance certificates, SHE risk management files, and relevant certifications.
• Prices are fixed and subject only to statutory changes such as VAT and customs levies.
• All price alterations must be signed for; unsigned alterations will lead to disqualification.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and Municipal Council Database.
• Provision of a valid Letter of Good Standing with the Compensation Fund or Department of Labour.
• Suppliers must be accredited with relevant authorities such as SITA (if applicable).
• For catering suppliers, submission of a health certificate is required.
• Compliance with SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) standards, including submission of SHE risk management files.
• Completion of the RFQ in black ink; quotations in lead pencil are not accepted.
• All alterations to the quotation must be signed by the bidder.
• Understanding and adherence to the compulsory documentation and certification processes outlined in the tender.
