Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a reliable supplier capable of providing and delivering galvanized signage accessories and mounting stands to support municipal road infrastructure maintenance and installation within the uMhlathuze Local Municipality jurisdiction.

Scope

The contract encompasses the supply and delivery of galvanized signage accessories distributed across three municipal depots: Alton Urban Roads Depot (Empangeni) and Esikhaleni. Deliveries are organized in specific batches (e.g., 18 boards, 9 sign boards, and 60 signs) with designated collection logistics per depot. The total procurement value falls below R300,000 (VAT inclusive). Bidders must adhere to municipal technical specifications, which are provided separately by the municipality. All pricing must be fixed at submission, with no post-award price adjustments permitted.

Technical Requirements

• Mandatory registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and the Municipal Supplier Database.
• Submission of a valid Tax Compliance Certificate and a Letter of Good Standing.
• Quotation forms must be completed in black ink, fully signed, and any alterations must be countersigned by the bidder.
• Completion and submission of all statutory municipal bid documents: MBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), MBD 8 (Declaration of Past Supply Chain Management Practices), and MBD 9 (Certificate of Independent Bid Determination).
• Fulfillment of the Preferential Procurement Points Claim Form utilizing the 80:20 scoring model.
• Provision of a Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Risk Management file.
• Strict compliance with all municipal administrative, legal, and procurement standards.
