Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure supply and delivery of solvent safety cleaning fluid, specifically a 20L drum of safety solvent, for the City of uMhlathuze. The aim is to ensure the availability of high-quality cleaning chemicals that meet safety standards and are delivered within the stipulated timeframe.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of solvent safety cleaning fluid (F0128 SAFETY SOLVENT 20LT DRUM)
• Delivery to the Supply Chain Management Unit at the specified address: End of Betastraal, Alton, Richards Bay
• Compliance with technical and statutory requirements as specified in the tender documents

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Product: Safety solvent suitable for electrical cleaning
• Quantity: 60 units of 20L drums
• Product must be chemical-grade and suitable for electrical cleaning applications
• All alterations to the quotation must be signed by the bidder
• Pricing must be inclusive of VAT and all statutory levies, with no price increases after submission

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Suppliers must meet the following skills and qualification criteria:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) with a valid CSD number
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund
• Registration with the Municipal Council Database
• Completion of RFQ forms in black ink; quotations in pencil will be rejected
• Adherence to all compulsory documentation, including tax compliance certificates, SHE risk management files, and proof of accreditation where applicable
• Signatures on all relevant documents, including price alterations and the quotation form
• Compliance with preferential procurement points criteria, including ownership and management by designated groups (e.g., youth, disabled, rural residents)
