Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a Workshop Tool Kit that will be supplied and delivered to the City of uMhlathuze by 21 August 2026. The tool kit is intended to support workshop activities with a comprehensive set of hand and power tools, including a roller cabinet chest and accessories, ensuring the tools meet specified quality and warranty standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply and delivery of a Workshop Tool Kit, specifically a PTK2B set comprising a combined roller cabinet chest (size 616 x 330 x 1080mm) with a selection of hand and power tools suitable for workshop use.
• Contents to include items such as pliers, magnetic parts tray, and other specified tools.
• Delivery to the Supply Chain Management Unit at the specified address in uMhlathuze.
• Demonstration of the delivered toolbox and electrical appliances testing before handover.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the workshop tool kit include:

• The toolbox must be a combined roller cabinet chest with dimensions 616 x 330 x 1080mm.
• The set must include a variety of hand tools such as pliers and a magnetic parts tray.
• A 3-year warranty is required on the toolbox and tools, with the supplier responsible for delivery and demonstration.
• All electrical appliances included must be tested prior to handover.
• All alterations to the quotation must be signed by the bidder; price changes without signatures will lead to disqualification.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

The bidder must meet the following skills and qualification criteria:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD), with a valid CSD number provided.
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
• Completion of RFQ forms in black ink; quotations in lead pencil will not be accepted.
• Registration with the Municipal Council Database; forms available on the municipal website.
• Compliance with compulsory documentation, including tax compliance certificates, SHE risk management files, and proof of accreditation if applicable.
• Understanding of statutory requirements related to procurement and supplier registration.
