Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply plumbing materials, including the supply and delivery of specified plumbing items such as PTFE tape and various reducing threaded bushes, to the City of uMhlathuze by the deadline of 04 June 2026.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of the following items:

• 3000 units of PTFE tape
• 200 units of 25mm Reducing Threaded Bush (Plasson)
• 200 units of 20mm Reducing Threaded Bush (Plasson)
• 100 units of 32mm Reducing Threaded Bush (Plasson)
• 100 units of 50mm Reducing Threaded Bush (Plasson)

The delivery is to be made to the Supply Chain Management Unit at the specified address in Richards Bay, with the deadline set for 04 June 2026 at 12:00.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of goods as specified in the item descriptions and quantities.
• All alterations to prices or documents must be signed by the bidder.
• Suppliers must be registered with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide their CSD number.
• Submission of a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
• Completion of RFQ forms in black ink; no pencil entries accepted.
• Suppliers must be registered with the Municipal Council Database.
• All compulsory documentation must be attached, including tax compliance certificates, SHE risk management files, and proof of accreditation where applicable.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Applicants must meet the following skills and qualification criteria:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and Municipal Council Database.
• Provision of a valid Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
• Compliance with statutory requirements such as tax certificates and SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) documentation.
• For service providers, proof of accreditation with SITA (if applicable).
• Completion of all mandatory forms and checklists, including declarations of interest and past supply chain management practices.
• Signatures on all relevant documents confirming alterations and submissions.
