Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply plumbing materials through a formal request for quotation process, ensuring timely delivery by 19 May 2026 to meet the City of uMhlathuze's operational needs.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of specific plumbing materials, such as:

• 300 units of 25mm straight HDPE compression couplings
• 30 units of Eye 110x45° Rodding PVC UG
• 50 units of 25x20mm female HDPE elbows
• 300 units of 25mmx20mm male HDPE elbows

The materials must be delivered to the Supply Chain Management Unit at the specified address in Richards Bay, by the stipulated deadline.

Technical Requirements

The materials must meet the following technical specifications:

• Compression couplings must be 25mm HDPE, straight type.
• Eye fittings should be 110x45° PVC Rodding UG.
• Elbows must be 25x20mm HDPE, both female and male types.

All alterations to the quotation must be signed by the bidder, and prices should be inclusive of VAT and any applicable statutory levies. No price increases will be accepted after submission.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate the following:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD), providing the CSD number.
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
• Completion of RFQ documentation in black ink; quotations in pencil will be rejected.
• Registration with the Municipal Council Database, with forms obtainable from the municipal website.
• Submission of all compulsory documents, including tax compliance certificates, SHE risk management files, and relevant affidavits or certified copies.
• Experience and capacity to supply plumbing materials as specified, with relevant technical and logistical capabilities.
