Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and deliver ultrasonic portable flow meters to address issues related to unquantifiable water volumes at water treatment facilities within the City of uMhlathuze. The flow meters will enable accurate measurement of potable water flow, supporting water balance estimations, reducing water losses, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply and delivery of portable ultrasonic flow meters as per specified technical parameters.
• Provision of two units of ultrasonic flow meters that meet the specified size, accuracy, flow range, and other technical requirements.
• Execution of scope without deviations unless approved by the designated officer.
• Adherence to all specified conditions, including signing alterations and submitting all compulsory documents.

The flow meters are intended for use in various pipe materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, etc.) with specified size ranges and technical features.

Skills and Skills Requirements

The supplier must demonstrate:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide the CSD number.
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing.
• Capability to supply flow meters that meet the technical specifications without deviation.
• Ability to complete RFQ documentation in black ink, sign alterations, and submit all compulsory documents.
• Experience in supplying ultrasonic flow meters or similar instrumentation.
• Technical expertise to ensure proper installation, calibration, and commissioning of the flow meters.
• Knowledge of water treatment processes and flow measurement standards.
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including SHE risk management.
