Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service for hiring a 10 cubic meter tipper truck. The goal is to secure a reliable supplier capable of providing the specified truck for a total of 250 hours, ensuring the City of uMhlathuze's operational needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of a 10 cubic meter tipper truck on a hire basis.
• Delivery and operation of the truck for a total of 250 hours.
• Service provision to be quoted on a wet rate basis (including fuel, maintenance, etc.).
• Contract duration until 13 April 2026.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the service include:

• The truck must be a 10 cubic meter tipper with double differential.
• The truck must be capable of operating for 250 hours as specified.
• The service provider must provide a wet rate quotation, covering all operational costs.
• All alterations to the quotation must be signed by the bidder to be valid.
• The service provider must comply with all statutory requirements, including VAT and customs levies.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Suppliers must meet the following skills and qualification criteria:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD); CSD number must be provided.
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund or Department of Labour.
• Registration with the Municipal Council Database.
• Completion of RFQ documentation in black ink; quotations in pencil will be rejected.
• Submission of all compulsory documents, including tax compliance certificates, SHE risk management files, and proof of accreditation if applicable.
• Signatures on all alterations and the quotation itself.
• Compliance with preferential procurement points and other statutory declarations as required.
