Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure vegetation control services around North Chambers to ensure proper maintenance and safety. The work aims to manage overgrown vegetation, trees, solid waste, and spray herbicides as specified, to maintain the area in a clean and safe condition.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Vegetation control around North Chambers, specifically at the Nsezi Transnet Cemetery.
• Gutting grass, cutting trees, removing solid waste, and spraying glyphosate within the designated area.
• Completion of the work as per the specified quantity and within the delivery period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Compliance with health and safety standards and supervision during work execution.
• Ensuring vehicle access for grass cutting, tree removal, waste clearance, and herbicide spraying.
• Adherence to environmental and safety regulations related to herbicide application and waste removal.
• Completion of the work within the specified delivery period, with the required quality standards.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for the successful bidder include:

• Proven experience in vegetation control and related services, with at least 4 similar projects completed (for scoring purposes).
• Qualified key personnel, including a supervisor with:
• Traceable references
• HIRA (Occupational Health and Safety Certificate)
• Experience above 4 years (for higher scoring points)
• Licensed vehicles under MVL 1, with valid lease agreements and vehicle logbooks.
• Capability to supervise health and safety compliance and environmental standards.
• Registered with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and the Municipal Council Database.
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
