Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure yard cleaning services at Fleet Alton, ensuring the removal of rubble, waste, weeds, trees, and oil sludge, as well as pressure washing and clearing of stormwater drains, in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Removal of rubble, waste, and grass cutting
• Tree trimming and weed removal around flowers and tarred areas
• Herbicide spraying along fences and scrapyard
• Disposal of hazardous materials and oil sludge
• Pressure washing of wash bay walls, floors, tyre bay, welding bay, workshop entrance, and parking areas
• Cleaning and unblocking stormwater drains

The services are to be carried out at Fleet Alton, 65 Alumina Alley, Alton, Richards Bay, with a scheduled completion date of 17 August 2026.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Compliance with Occupational Health & Safety standards and asbestos regulations
• Removal and disposal of rubble, waste, weeds, trees, and grass
• Oil sludge removal and disposal
• Pressure washing using industrial heavy-duty equipment and oil removers
• Cleaning of all workshop and stormwater drainage areas to ensure proper drainage and safety
• Coordination with the project manager for hazardous material handling

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD)
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing
• Experience in environmental and yard cleaning, including hazardous waste handling
• Ability to operate industrial pressure washing equipment and handle oil and hazardous materials safely
• Compliance with occupational health and safety standards
• Capacity to complete the scope of work within the specified timeframe
