Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure printed registers for Pap Smear documentation, specifically the "S & D: Register Papsmear 200 Leaves Printed Both Side Only in Black Ink Each Book 400 Pages," to be supplied to Charles Johnson Memorial Hospital. The aim is to ensure the availability of standardized, durable, and compliant registers that meet the specified technical and quality standards for use in clinical settings.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Manufacture and supply of the specified Pap Smear registers as detailed in the specifications.
• Delivery of the registers to Charles Johnson Memorial Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal.
• Compliance with all technical, quality, and regulatory standards outlined in the tender documents.
• Adherence to the delivery schedule and submission of required documentation and samples if applicable.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the registers include:

• Size: 297mm x 420mm
• Printed both sides only in black ink
• Each book containing 400 pages, numbered from 1 to 200
• Paper: White 70gsm for the pages; covers: Buffs Tokai 200gsm (mill tinted)
• Binding: Staples 4 in the 16 binding margin, spine covered with 100mm Miradur
• Front cover labeled/printed as "Pap Smear Register" for each book
• Covers: Buffs Tokai 200gsm, mill tinted
• Additional specifications are attached and must be fully complied with.

Skills and Competency Requirements

Bidder must demonstrate:

• Capacity to produce and deliver the registers as per the technical specifications within the stipulated timeframe.
• Experience in manufacturing similar printed registers or related stationery products.
• Ability to comply with quality standards, including adherence to SANAS/SABS specifications.
• Provision of samples upon request and full completion of evaluation criteria forms.
• Understanding of the procurement policies, including VAT registration if applicable, and compliance with the Department of Health’s requirements.
• Capacity to meet delivery deadlines and provide proof of previous deliveries (e.g., delivery notes or invoices).
