Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and deliver safety shoes, specifically boots with steel toe caps, for use in the workplace at Catherine Booth Hospital. The aim is to ensure worker safety and compliance with safety standards.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of:

• Safety boots with specified features (steel toe caps, specific sizes, and materials)
• Mens lace-up shoes with anti-slip features
• Adults socks in navy color

The procurement covers the entire process from quotation submission, technical compliance, sample submission, to final delivery at the specified hospital location.

Technical Requirements

• Boots must have steel toe caps, Strobel insole, constructed with bucket rubber outer sole
• Sizes: 4X10, 5X10, 6X10, 7X10, 8X10, 9X10, 10X10, 11X4
• Color: Black
• High leg pattern with a leg height of 180mm
• Leather: Full chrome tanned, 1.8 - 2.1 mm thickness
• Standard: Must conform to South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) approved standards
• Mens lace-up shoes must be rubber welded, with anti-slip sole, sizes 5 to 12, black in color, with laces
• Socks to be navy, one size fits all, made of 65/35 wool/nylon, chemically treated, knee-high with reinforced heel and toe

Additional specifications include compliance with safety standards, quality assurance, and proper packaging for transit.
