Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to deliver cleaning services at the Sasolburg Magistrate Office for a period of six months. The aim is to ensure the office premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety, in accordance with specified standards and contractual obligations.

Scope

The scope of work includes comprehensive cleaning services for the Sasolburg Magistrate Office, covering areas such as offices, meeting rooms, hallways, toilets, kitchens, parking areas, and other specified zones. The contractor is responsible for providing all labour, equipment, cleaning materials, and consumables necessary to perform the services over the contract period. Specific tasks include dusting, window cleaning, floor maintenance, rubbish removal, cleaning of furniture, walls, ceilings, elevators, and other related activities as detailed in the specifications.

The contract also encompasses supply and maintenance of cleaning equipment, adherence to health and safety regulations, and compliance with environmental management standards.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of cleaning services as per the detailed specifications, including cleaning of indoor and outdoor areas, high-volume window cleaning, and specialized cleaning tasks.
• Supply of all necessary cleaning machinery, tools, and consumables, which must meet industrial standards and be inspected prior to contract award.
• Adherence to health and safety legislation, including the implementation of a site-specific health and safety plan, risk assessments, and provision of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Compliance with occupational health and safety standards, including proper signage, hazard identification, and incident reporting.
• Maintenance of hygiene standards in toilets, kitchens, and other sanitary facilities, including replenishment of consumables.
• Implementation of environmental management practices, including waste disposal, spill management, and pollution prevention.
• Monitoring and reporting on service delivery through regular inspections and documentation.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in providing cleaning and sanitation services in a government or similar institutional environment.
• Qualified personnel with knowledge of industrial cleaning standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental practices.
• Competent supervision and management staff capable of overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality standards, and handling client interactions.
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning machinery and equipment, including high-rise window cleaning tools, carpet washers, and floor polishers.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, including risk assessments, PPE usage, and incident management.
• Capacity to supply and manage cleaning materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Effective communication skills for reporting, documentation, and coordination with the client department.
