Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a supplier for the supply and delivery of roads and stormwater materials on an as-and-when-required basis for a period of one year. The aim is to ensure the municipality has access to quality materials necessary for roads and stormwater maintenance projects.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the provision of various roads and stormwater materials as specified in the detailed specifications. The materials are to be supplied on an as-needed basis over a one-year period, supporting maintenance activities within the Metsimaholo Local Municipality.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Provision of specified materials such as broom synth, heavy-duty rake, garden spade, digging spade, rubber handle pik, red flags with sticks, heavy-duty wheelbarrow, candy strips cloves, cement, road cones with reflector, concrete stones, plaster sand, steel round bars, zinc-plated steel wire, and multifunctional wire pliers.
• Materials must meet the specifications outlined in the tender document.
• Suppliers must purchase the bid document from the municipality and submit their quotation on company letterhead.
• Quotations must be valid for 60 days and submitted before the deadline.
• Compliance with general conditions of contract and preference points system as prescribed.

Skills and Documentation Requirements

Applicants are required to submit the following:

• Municipal account in the name of the bidder not older than 90 days, or a valid lease agreement if applicable.
• SARS tax pin document or a company bank confirmation letter with the company's address. If the bank confirmation does not reflect the address, a bank statement must be submitted.
• Proof of compliance with the preference points system, including documentation such as municipal account, lease agreement, or tax pin.
• Quotation on official letterhead, with the bid document purchased from the municipality.

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive and not evaluated further.
