Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider for the supply, delivery, and installation of office partitioning systems, including laminated flooring planks/wood-look flooring, door replacements, and aluminium and glass partition systems within the Metsimaholo Municipality offices.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Supply and installation of laminated flooring planks or wood-look flooring systems, including accessories such as underlay, trims, and skirtings for six office spaces.
• Removal of existing timber doors and steel frames, making good the surfaces, and installing new pressed steel door frames with Meranti timber doors and ironmongery.
• Supply, delivery, and installation of aluminium-framed glazed office partition systems with hinged doors, fixed glazed panels, and associated accessories for three offices.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

Flooring

• Use of approved laminate flooring planks, wood-look flooring, or click-lock flooring systems, laid in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and South African standards.
• Materials must include appropriate underlay, trims, skirtings, and accessories.
• Office measurements are provided for accurate installation.

Doors

• Removal of existing timber doors and steel frames, followed by installation of new pressed steel door frames with Meranti timber doors.
• Ironmongery including locksets, lever handles, hinges, door closers, and rubber stops.

Partition Systems

• Supply and installation of aluminum-framed glazed partition systems, including hinged doors, fixed glazed panels, and safety glazing.
• Use of Clip44 aluminum partition system, complying with relevant standards and regulations.

All work must adhere to:

• South African Bureau of Standards (SANS)
• National Building Regulations
• Occupational Health and Safety Act

Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in flooring installation, including laminate and wood-look systems.
• Experience in door removal and installation, including steel and timber doors with ironmongery.
• Expertise in aluminium and glass partition system installation, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Ability to interpret and execute technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Knowledge of relevant South African standards and building regulations.
• Capacity to coordinate and complete multiple installation tasks within specified timelines.
