Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of industrial sewing machines for Komani Hospital, ensuring the hospital is equipped with suitable machinery to meet its operational needs.

Scope

The scope includes the supply, delivery, and installation of industrial sewing machines that meet specified technical standards. The machines must support various stitch types, have specific body parts, and conform to detailed specifications outlined in the tender documents. The procurement covers all related accessories and technical features necessary for proper operation within the hospital setting.

Technical Requirements

• The sewing machine must have lock stitch capability with features such as overlock machine bobbin winder, thread wiper, lifting lever, quick reverse presser foot control, knee lift, power switch, oil gauge window, back tack lever, stitch length dial, operational panel, thread stand, thread take-up cover, and finger guard.
• Body parts must include a thread stand, thread guides, disc tensioner, thread take-up lever, and looper needle pressure feed lever.
• The machine must perform various stitch types including chain stitch, lock stitches (classes 101, 304, 401, 502, 504), zig zag stitches (classes 301, 404), 2-step lock stitch, 2-thread chain stitch, 2-thread over edge, and 3-thread over edge.
• The machine should have long and short grooves for guiding the needle thread, and be capable of operating at a speed of 2500 S.P.M., using G2 type oil.
• Machine types include single needle lock, double needle lock, cover stitches, multi-needle chain stitch, flatlock, and flat thread machines.
• The machine must feature long and short grooves opposite each other to guide the needle thread and prevent abrasion.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and installing industrial sewing machines with similar specifications.
• Technical expertise in machine setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various stitch types and machine features.
• Ability to provide technical support and after-sales service to ensure continuous operation of the machines.
• Knowledge of compliance with safety, security, and operational procedures relevant to hospital environments.
• Capability to deliver, install, and commission the sewing machines within the specified timeframe and conditions.
