Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply the Moly-Tech 99m Generator (16GBq) or an equivalent product for a period of twelve (12) months to Livingstone Tertiary Hospital. The supplier must ensure the delivery of a diagnostic radiopharmaceutical source used in medical imaging, specifically for the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals involving technetium-99m.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of Moly-Tech 99m Generator (16GBq) or equivalent products.
• Provision of the product for a duration of 12 months.
• Delivery to Livingstone Tertiary Hospital, including the PE Provincial site, as per the specified delivery schedule.
• Compliance with technical specifications and quality standards outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the Moly-Tech 99m Generator or equivalent are as follows:

• Reagents and chemical composition including sodium chloride, sodium pertechnetate, hydrochloric acid, aluminum oxide, sodium molybdate, and uranium-235.
• Labeling features such as aluminum oxide, molybdenum-99, technetium-99m (+7 oxidation), stannous chloride, and sodium pertechnetate.
• Shelf life of 14 days, with usage within 10 hours of reconstitution.
• The product must be non-toxic, pyrogen-free, sterile, and provided as a freeze-dried powder.
• Registration for use in South Africa (Section 21 approval for imported items) must be provided, with proof submitted.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Technical capability and experience in supplying radiopharmaceutical generators.
• Compliance with all regulatory and quality standards, including SAPHRA licensing and registration.
• Ability to meet the technical specifications and quality assurance requirements outlined in the tender.
• Capacity to deliver the products reliably over the specified period.
• Provision of necessary documentation, including proof of registration, compliance certificates, and relevant experience in similar supply contracts.
