Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of linen bed screen curtains at Livingstone Tertiary Hospital and PE Provincial Hospital for a period of twelve (12) months.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Manufacture, supply, and delivery of hospital linen, specifically bed screen curtains made from cotton twill material, printed with the ECDOH logo.
• The curtains should be 3 meters wide by 2 meters drop, in specified colours (White and Mazarine Blue).
• The successful bidder must source linen materials from manufacturers based within the Eastern Cape, with proof of such sourcing attached to the bid.
• Shortlisted bidders will be required to provide actual samples for approval before final award.

Technical Requirements

• Manufacture of bed screen curtains from cotton twill fabric, woven mass 180g/m², with curtain tape for mounting hooks.
• The entire fabric face must be printed with the Eastern Cape Department of Health logo.
• Curtains must be 3m width x 2m drop.
• Samples of the curtains must be provided before award.
• Bidder must demonstrate capability to cut, make, trim, supply, and deliver hospital ward linen.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Qualified and capable suppliers with experience in manufacturing and supplying hospital linen products.
• Ability to source linen materials from EC-based manufacturers, with proof of sourcing attached.
• Provision of actual samples of the curtains for evaluation prior to final award.
• Registration on the Centralized Supplier Database (CSD) is mandatory; bids will only be awarded to registered suppliers.
• Capability to meet technical specifications and delivery schedules.
