Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure semi-complete ruminant and rider pellets, specifically 40kg bags of riders pellets for horses and semi-complete ruminant pellets for cattle, sheep, and goats. The procurement aims to ensure the supply of quality animal feed products in accordance with specified standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of 140 bags of 40kg Riders Pellets (for horses).
• Supply of 800 bags of 40kg Semi-Complete Ruminant Pellets (for cattle, sheep, and goats).

The procurement process involves evaluating bids based on technical compliance, price, and preference points, with all submissions subject to government procurement policies and conditions.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of specification sheets, Certificates of Analysis (COA), catalogues, and samples for all products supplied.
• Compliance with product standards for animal feed pellets, ensuring suitability for intended livestock.
• Submission of all necessary documentation, including specification details and samples before the RFQ closing date.
• Adherence to government procurement conditions and evaluation criteria based on quality, specifications, and documentation.

Skills Requirements

The skills and capabilities required from suppliers include:

• Ability to provide detailed product specifications, COA, and catalogues.
• Experience in supplying animal feed pellets, with proven quality standards.
• Capability to submit samples for evaluation prior to contract award.
• Compliance with administrative and legal requirements, including registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD), BBBEE certification, and tax compliance.
• Understanding of government procurement processes and documentation, including declaration forms and preference point systems.
