Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to provide services for the drilling, servicing, and maintenance of boreholes at multiple clinics within the Dannhauser CHC area. The services aim to ensure reliable water supply, efficient operation, early fault detection, and ongoing maintenance to support uninterrupted healthcare services.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of borehole servicing and maintenance at specified clinics (e.g., Greenock, Thandanani, Ladybank, NellasFarm, Emfundweni, etc.).
• Inspection and testing of borehole components such as pumps, motors, rising mains, electrical control panels, valves, pipework, and fittings.
• Cleaning and servicing of borehole headworks and control equipment.
• Electrical testing, pump performance testing, flow rate measurement, and fault reporting.
• Provision of detailed service reports with recommendations for repairs or replacements.
• Adherence to safety protocols, use of approved materials, and completion within specified timeframes.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Use of S.A.B.S. approved materials and components.
• Completion of services within two weeks of official order issuance.
• Staff must be identifiable, sign in/out at the site, and operate only authorized equipment.
• Provision of a detailed service report with test results and recommendations.
• Compliance with safety standards, PPE usage, and hazard management.
• All work must meet the specified standards and specifications attached in the tender documentation.
• Completion of all tasks including inspection, testing, cleaning, lubrication, and reporting.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for bidders include:

• Registered with CIDB minimum grade ME1.
• Technicians must be qualified and experienced in borehole pump maintenance, electrical testing, and system servicing.
• Proven track record with references for similar borehole servicing and maintenance projects.
• Ability to supply all necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, hazard management, and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Capacity to complete multiple site services within the stipulated timeframes.
