Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the service of UPS maintenance and related support at Dannhauser Community Health Centre (CHC). The aim is to ensure the UPS systems are inspected, tested, maintained, and kept in reliable operational condition, thereby supporting the continuous delivery of health services.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Inspection, testing, cleaning, and verification of UPS systems at Dannhauser CHC.
• Performing maintenance, repairs, and upgrades as necessary.
• Providing detailed reports on the condition of the UPS systems.
• Handover of redundant materials post-service.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations during service execution.
• Completion of all work within specified timeframes, with all workmanship and materials guaranteed.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Use of SABS-approved materials and components.
• Inspection of UPS room, equipment, batteries, connections, and internal components.
• Testing of mains voltage, frequency, current, harmonic distortion, and UPS output parameters.
• Verification of battery condition, charger operation, and load distribution.
• Cleaning of UPS equipment and surrounding areas.
• Preparation of a comprehensive maintenance and condition report.
• Compliance with health and safety standards, including signing safety declarations.
• Provision of qualified and experienced personnel, including certified artisans.
• Completion of work within two weeks from official order issuance.

Skills Requirements

The tender requires service providers to demonstrate:

• Possession of CIDB registration minimum ME level.
• Provision of proof of relevant work experience with UPS systems, including references and previous orders.
• Qualified personnel with appropriate certifications and qualifications related to UPS maintenance.
• Ability to supply all necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to prepare safety plans.
• Capacity to deliver services within the specified timeframe and quality standards.
