Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to evaluate and recommend an optimal pricing model for the SANBI membership card, project membership uptake based on current pricing, and support the development of a membership system that increases garden visitor numbers and revenue. The project aims to analyze current membership data, research similar systems, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance membership growth and revenue generation.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Evaluating the current SANBI membership system and pricing model.
• Researching similar membership systems at comparable institutions.
• Analyzing garden visitor numbers at SANBI’s major gardens.
• Determining optimal sales and pricing uptake levels.
• Recommending an optimal pricing structure to increase membership uptake.
• Developing a work plan with clustering of activities, effort estimation, and resource allocation.
• Providing a comprehensive report with findings and recommendations.
• Supporting SANBI in implementing the proposed pricing model over a contract period of 12 months.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Research on similar membership systems and garden visitor data.
• Statistical analysis of visitor numbers and sales data.
• Development of a pricing model based on research and analysis.
• Preparation of detailed reports and recommendations.
