The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified contractor to refurbish the boardwalk at the Lowveld National Botanical Garden in Nelspruit, ensuring the structure is restored to a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing condition in accordance with SANBI standards and specifications.

  • Supply and installation of timber beams, balusters, and handrails as specified.
  • Painting of the entire boardwalk.

  • Refurbishment at the designated site within the Lowveld NBG, Nelspruit.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

  • Adherence to SANBI and SANS standards for construction and safety.
  • Use of approved materials such as Eva-last decking and H4 timber.
  • Implementation of structural repairs and replacements as per provided drawings and scope.

    • Contracts Manager and Site Agent with relevant experience (minimum 5 years), professional registration (SACPCMP Pr. CPM or Pr. CM).
    • Construction Health & Safety Officer with over 5 years’ experience and valid SACPCMP registration.
  • Competent supervision and management of site activities, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to prepare and implement project methodology, work programs, and safety plans.
  • Capability to manage procurement, logistics, and site safety in accordance with SANBI standards.
