Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified and experienced service provider to conduct fast food cooking training for participants within the jurisdiction of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma Municipality. The training aims to equip participants with practical skills in fast food preparation, food hygiene, and related culinary techniques, with an emphasis on skills transfer and certification.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Providing and delivering fast food cooking training based on specified standards and learning outcomes.
• Outsourcing 30% of the quoted amount to local service providers for skills transfer.
• Supplying training manuals, cooking equipment, grocery ingredients, and accredited certificates.
• Covering training costs such as manuals, equipment, certificates, assessment reports, and meals.
• Municipality to handle transportation, venue provision, and monitoring of training progress.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the training include:

• Course Standard: Cook - fast food (Unit Standard: HSP/ckFst/2/0020, 21 credits).
• Training to cover outcomes such as food hygiene, food preparation, knife handling, basic meat and sauce cooking, and food storage.
• Appointed provider must outsource 30% of the quoted amount locally for skills transfer.
• Payment structure: 50% after training completion, 50% after submission of certificates.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in conducting culinary training programs, particularly in fast food preparation.
• Qualification and accreditation in line with the specified unit standards (HSP/ckFst/2/0020, 21 credits).
• Ability to deliver practical training that meets the learning outcomes outlined.
• Capacity to outsource at least 30% of the work to local service providers for skills transfer.
• Provision of training manuals, equipment, and assessment reports.
