Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a qualified and experienced service provider to conduct Food Service Assistant training based on unit standard HSP/FdSrVa2/0023 (25 credits). The training aims to equip participants with skills related to food service operations, hygiene, customer service, and organizational procedures, thereby enhancing their competencies in food service assistance within the municipality.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of training for food service assistants according to the specified unit standard.
• Outsourcing 30% of the quoted amount to local service providers for skills transfer.
• Delivery of training sessions, including training manual, cooking equipment, groceries, accredited certificates, assessment reports, and catering (morning tea, breakfast, and lunch).
• The municipality will handle transportation, venue provision, and monitoring of training progress.

Technical Requirements

The service provider must:

• Supply and deliver training aligned with the unit standard HSP/FdSrVa2/0023 (25 credits).
• Ensure training covers learning outcomes such as organizational layout, hygiene, communication, food handling, customer service, and safety.
• Use accredited certificates and provide assessment reports.
• Follow the payment structure: 50% after training completion and 50% after submission of certificates.
• Outsource 30% of the quoted amount to local providers for skills transfer.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in conducting food service training or similar projects.
• Ability to deliver training according to the specified unit standard and credits.
• Capacity to provide training manuals, practical demonstrations, and assessment reports.
• Proven track record in skills transfer and working within the jurisdiction of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma Municipality.
• Compliance with all technical, administrative, and legal requirements outlined in the tender documentation.
