Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a qualified and experienced service provider to repair the Rail Inspection Trolley, ensuring it is operational for railway line inspections. The repair aims to restore the trolley's drive motor and evaluate and repair all subsystems as necessary.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Phase 1: Removal, disassembly, assessment, repair, and reassembly of the drive motor, including provision of secondary components such as “Deko Kit,” worn engine parts, oils, coolants, hoses, clamps, and radiator.
• Phase 2: Evaluation and repair of subsystems once the drive motor is operational, specifically:
• Hydraulic system of the drivetrain (pressure testing)
• Pneumatic brake system (pressure testing and evaluation)
• Electrical system (battery provision, testing wipers, charging, headlights, internal lighting)

The repair process must consider limited access to the drive motor and security restrictions at the storage area.

Technical Requirements

The service provider must:

• Possess qualifications as a motor mechanic, with knowledge in auto-electrical systems and numerical braking systems.
• Make special provisions for the removal of the drive motor due to limited access.
• Use the available workshop manual for the Rail Inspection Trolley, which will be provided in hard copy.
• Conduct and quote for the removal, disassembly, assessment, repair, and reassembly of the drive motor.
• Evaluate and repair subsystems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, with appropriate testing.
• Ensure safety and security protocols are followed during repairs and testing.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Qualified motor mechanic certification.
• Experience in auto-electrical systems repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of numerical braking systems.
• Ability to make special provisions for motor removal and handle security restrictions.
• Capability to evaluate and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical subsystems.
• Competence in interpreting workshop manuals and executing complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
