Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a service provider capable of supplying and delivering road marking materials to the municipality, ensuring quality standards and compliance with relevant specifications.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of specific road marking materials, notably 20L White Roadmarking paint (or similar), that meet the specifications outlined in the tender. The successful bidder will be responsible for supplying and delivering the materials as per the quantities specified, within the stipulated timeframe and conditions.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of 20L White Roadmarking paint (e.g., Plascon or similar).
• Paint must be solvent-based, suitable for road and runway surfaces, and comply with SANS 731 (Part 1 Type 1 & 2, Class 1).
• Application methods include airless or pressure-fed spraying, brush, or roller.
• Quick-drying, matte finish with excellent adhesion, coverage, durability, and resistance to abrasion.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Valid BBBEE Certificate or sworn affidavit demonstrating BBBEE status.
• Valid Tax Clearance Certificate and verification PIN.
• Registration proof in the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Copies of IDs for company directors or members.
• Municipal account status or lease agreements, depending on property ownership or leasing arrangements, not older than 3 months.
• Affidavits where applicable, confirming non-payment of rates or other relevant municipal statuses.
• Completion of prescribed forms (MBD 1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, MBD 9) and adherence to procurement policies.
• Understanding of the preference point system and compliance with bidding procedures.
