Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a panel of service providers who will be engaged on a rotational basis to dislodge or empty septic tanks for various clients within designated areas over a period of five months. The aim is to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant septic tank maintenance and waste disposal services across multiple locations.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Dislodging and emptying septic tanks at various client facilities in specified areas, including towns such as Matatiele, Maluti, Mt Fletcher, Maclear, Cedarville, Mt Ayliff, Tabase, Avondale, Zamuxolo, Mbizeni, Mt Frere, Elandsheight, Lukholweni, and others.
• Providing services in both urban and remote areas, with waste disposal at approved local authority sites.
• Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the specified standards, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Participating in a rotational scheduling system to ensure equitable distribution of work among panel members.

Technical Requirements

• Ownership of a minimum 5000L Honey sucker/vacuum truck, registered in the company or director’s name, with proof of ownership (NaTIS documents).
• Vehicles must be equipped with level indicators and capacity markings visible from a distance of approximately 3 meters.
• All equipment and vehicles must comply with safety and environmental standards, including PPE for staff.
• Waste must be disposed of at accredited disposal sites, with proof of disposal submitted with invoices.
• Service providers must send a truck dispatch notice before commencing work.
• Work must be completed within 24 hours of appointment, with services rendered within 3 days.
• All work must adhere to environmental and safety regulations, including proper waste handling and disposal procedures.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in septic tank desludging and waste management services, with documented references and testimonials.
• Ability to operate and maintain vacuum trucks and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and waste disposal protocols.
• Capacity to work under safety standards and provide PPE for staff.
• Effective communication skills for coordination and reporting.
• Compliance with tax and BBBEE requirements, including submission of relevant certificates and affidavits.
