Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a panel of service providers who will be engaged on a rotational basis to dislodge or empty septic tanks for various clients within designated areas over a period of five months. The aim is to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant septic tank maintenance and sewage disposal services across multiple locations.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Dislodging and emptying septic tanks at various client facilities in specified areas, including towns such as Sterkspruit, Cofimvaba, Elliot, Dordrecht, Bolotwa, Indwe, Lady Grey, Cala, Bridge Camp, Floukraal, IDA, Aliwal North, Glen Grey, Jamestown, Palmietfontein, Pumalanga, and Rossouw.
• Providing services in both urban and remote areas, with sewage disposal at approved municipal or authorized sites.
• Utilizing appropriate vacuum trucks equipped with level indicators and PPE for staff safety.
• Adhering to environmental and safety regulations, including proper waste disposal and documentation.
• Performing services promptly within 24 hours of appointment and completing each task within 3 days.

Technical Requirements

• Ownership of a Honey sucker/vacuum truck with a minimum capacity of 5000L, registered in the company's or director's name, with proof of ownership (NaTIS documents).
• Vehicles must be fitted with level indicators and capacity markings visible from a distance of approximately 3 meters.
• Trucks must be equipped with vacuum pumps and relevant PPE for staff.
• Service providers must send a truck dispatch notice before commencing work.
• Waste must be disposed of at accredited disposal sites, with proof of disposal submitted with invoices.
• Invoices must be accompanied by signed job cards and proof of waste disposal to ensure payment.
• Service providers must ensure safety, environmental compliance, and timely service delivery.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in septic tank desludging and sewage disposal services, supported by references/testimonials.
• Ability to operate and maintain vacuum trucks with required specifications.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and waste disposal procedures.
• Capacity to respond promptly to service requests within 24 hours.
• Competence in health and safety standards, including PPE provision and safe waste handling.
• Administrative skills to manage documentation, including job cards, disposal proof, and invoicing.
• Compliance with B-BBEE and other procurement regulations as per tender requirements.
