Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a Service Standby Generator for St Chads Community Health Centre (CHC) to ensure reliable backup power supply. The project aims to supply, install, and maintain a standby generator that meets specified technical standards, thereby enhancing the facility's operational resilience during power outages.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply of all materials, equipment, and labour necessary for the service of the standby generator at St Chads CHC.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil, air, and fuel filter changes, coolant replacement, fan belt replacement, leak checks, generator load testing, battery checks, and vent/ louver cleaning.
• Producing a safety file prior to commencement and ensuring all work complies with safety standards.
• Providing a completion certificate for similar jobs and CIDB grading documentation.
• Delivering the service within the stipulated timeframe, specifically within 7 days of order receipt.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the generator service include:

• Oil filter change
• Air filter change
• Fuel filters change
• Coolant change
• Fan belt replacement
• Leak inspection
• Generator load testing
• Battery inspection and replacement if necessary
• Cleaning vents and louvers
• Compliance with safety standards and submission of safety file prior to work

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• CIDB grading of 1ME/EB/EP or higher, with proof attached.
• Experience in servicing standby generators, evidenced by a valid completion certificate of similar jobs.
• Ability to produce a comprehensive safety file before commencing work.
• Technical expertise in generator maintenance, including familiarity with safety standards and proper handling of generator components.
• Capacity to deliver services within the specified timeframe and adhere to safety and quality standards.
