Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service for infrared inspection of electrical systems at Edumbe CHC and six associated clinics. The service aims to identify thermal anomalies in energized electrical systems to facilitate preventive maintenance and ensure safety and operational efficiency.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Annual infrared inspections of energized electrical systems at Edumbe CHC and six clinics, conducted while facilities are operational.
• Inspection of various electrical panels, switchgear, DBs, kiosks, and other electrical infrastructure as detailed in the technical specifications.
• Removal of covers, thermal scanning, anomaly detection, and documentation through images and reports.
• Cleaning of electrical components, tightening loose wires, and recording temperature data.
• Preparation of comprehensive reports with findings and recommended corrective actions.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications mandate:

• Contractor must hold CIDB grading 1EB or above.
• Experience with similar infrared inspection work, supported by at least one completion certificate.
• Use of calibrated infrared equipment capable of thermal imaging and recording.
• Inspection to be performed while electrical systems are energized and in operation.
• Submission of calibration certificates for equipment prior to commencement.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations, including no on-site sleeping and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Provision of detailed reports with images, temperature recordings, and recommended actions.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Technical proficiency in infrared thermography and electrical system inspection.
• Experience in conducting thermal inspections of energized electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret thermal images and identify potential faults.
• Competence in report writing, including documentation of anomalies and corrective measures.
• Compliance with health and safety standards and proper handling of equipment.
• Capacity to deliver timely and accurate inspection services as per the specified schedule.
