Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services related to standby generators at 50 KVA, specifically focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, and servicing for clinics and hospital facilities. Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of servicing and maintenance for standby generators at 50 KVA, including minor and major repairs.
• Servicing of generators at multiple clinics and hospital sites as specified in the tender documentation.
• Carrying out scheduled inspections, repairs, and replacements of parts such as batteries and engine components.
• Providing proof of previous experience and successful completion of similar generator servicing contracts.
• Adherence to technical specifications and standards outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of preventive maintenance and running repairs for standby generators, including cleaning, greasing, and component checks.
• Replacement and testing of batteries, including checking specific gravity and working levels.
• Inspection and servicing of engine starters, including checking Bendix conditions, brushes, and connections.
• Provision of proof of previous successful servicing or maintenance of similar generators.
• Compliance with specified standards, including trade tests in motor mechanics and CIDB grading (minimum Grade 1ME/1E).
• Completion of service reports and certification of work carried out.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for bidders include:

• Trade test certification in motor mechanics or refrigeration (as applicable).
• Experience in servicing and maintaining standby generators, supported by previous contracts or service level agreements.
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical diagnostics related to generator systems.
• Ability to perform on-site repairs, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance tasks.
