Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure services for an 8-month pest control contract at Catherine Booth Hospital, including eradication of cockroaches, rats, mice, vermin, and supply of snake repellent across various hospital areas. The contract aims to ensure a pest-free environment, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and provision of qualified pest control personnel.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of pest control services over 8 months, with monthly treatments at designated hospital locations including wards, clinical areas, residences, support units, and external facilities such as manholes and plant rooms.
• Supply of all necessary materials, chemicals, and equipment compliant with relevant standards.
• Adherence to occupational health and safety regulations, environmental conditions, and hospital protocols.
• Provision of qualified personnel, including proof of registration and certifications.
• Implementation of services during specified intervals, primarily on the last day of each month, with provisions for follow-up treatments if infestations are detected.

Technical Requirements

• Use of brand new, high-quality, and latest model equipment suitable for hospital environments.
• Supply of odourless, environmentally compliant pesticides and chemicals, with proof of safety data sheets.
• Qualified and certified pest control operators, registered with relevant authorities such as the Department of Labour and Pest Control Industry Council.
• Adherence to all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA and hospital-specific safety standards.
• Proper protection of equipment against environmental conditions and environmental protection during service delivery.
• Provision of comprehensive guarantees for all installed or replaced products (minimum 6 months for repairs, 1 year for new installations).
• Accurate measurement and reporting of pest control activities, with the contractor responsible for own measurements.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Registered pest control companies with the Pest Control Industries Professional Council.
• Qualified pest control operators with valid certificates and proof of registration with the Department of Labour.
• SAQCC registration and certification for pest control personnel.
• Experience in executing similar pest control contracts, with at least three relevant contracts awarded within the past five years, supported by appointment letters and reference contacts.
• Demonstrated understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and hospital protocols.
• Provision of qualified personnel with appropriate training, experience, and certifications, including certificates of conformance and proof of liability insurance.
• Ability to perform accurate measurements, follow safety procedures, and respond promptly to infestations or operational damage caused during service.
